GNA University organizes National Conference

GNA University organized NationalConferenceon Sustaining and Enhancing Competitiveness in Today's Business Scenario'on 21^stMarch 2015 in which 350 eminent research scholars and industry experts participated. Mr. Rajiv Chawla, Chairman Jairaj Group, Faridabad and Chairman IMSME India presided over the conference as Chief Guest and DrRavinderVinayak Director DSPSR, Ex Dean Academics and HOD Maharishi Dayanand University, Dr. Balwinder Singh, Professor Commerce Department, GNDU graced the occasion with their presence as Guests of Honor. Mr. Chawla stressed on the importance of team work to achieve organizational goal and congratulated GNA University management for conduct of such a successful conference. According to himentrepreneurs should find blue oceans for exploring new opportunities. 

Dr. Vinayak shared his experiences about sustainability in current business scenario. Dr. Balwinder Singh told how there is difference between vision of Bharat and India and how we should take steps to improvise the systems. Dr. Prem Kumar, Advisor GNA University welcomed the delegates with his inspiring words and thanked S. Gurdeep Singh Seehra, Pro Chancellor GNA University and CEO GNA Duraparts Ltd for his motivation to conduct such type of events. Dr S K Singla Director GNA-IMTthanked all the research scholars for their participation and promised them that GNA Universitywill continue its endeavor to conduct such conferences. Three technical sessions were conducted andmore than 150 research scholars presented their research work. MBA and IT students of the institute also gave their presentations. Mr. Sunil Sarad Sr. GM Corporate Affairs – GNA University, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Head HR and Dr Govinder Flora Dean Academics GNA University were the other dignitaries present at the conference. Dr DharamvirUppal, Ms Rajvir Kaur and Ms Deepti Thakur convened the conference successfully.

‎GNA University‬ in association with Yi Students’ Net conducted the second and third phase of Clothes distribution in Jalandhar city and Phuglana village respectively. The distribution was done in Andh Ashram and Pingla Ghar in Jalandhar City and Jhuggis of Phuglana Village. The students of GNA University contributed for the noble cause with complete dedication and enthusiasm.

Mr. Ajit Singh Jagdev, Managing Director (Bifold Door Factory Ltd, London) visited GNA University on 26 Feb, 2014. He met with Mr. C.R.Tripathy (Dean, Faculty of Design & Innovation, GNA University) and discussed the blended Course Curriculum & technical parameters that are shared with students who are getting CAD/CAM training from GNA University. He also visited CAD/CAM Lab Facilities and also got overview of RPT Machine with FDM Tehnology. 

Mr. Ajit Singh Continuously appreciated the work of one of the alumni of Faculty of Design and Innovation Mr. Harpreet Singh currently working with Bifold Door Factory Ltd, London as CNC Manager. Mr. Ajit Singh Jagdev showed his gratitude to Mr. Gurdeep Singh (Pro Chancellor, GNA University and CEO GNA Duraparts Ltd) as a Industrialist and for running such job oriented Programs in the university. He appreciated the contribution of Faculty of Design and Innovation in making their students fully equipped with current and updated knowledge which make them able to work in National & Multi-National Companies.          

GNA UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED SME CONCLAVE on 27th of Feb at Hotel Cabbana

SME conclave was organized by GNA University in association with All India Management Association and Jalandhar Management Association on the theme “Pathway To Business Success: Way Forward” in which around 150 delegates from industry and academia attended the Conclave. The conclave was inaugurated by chief guest Mr. Rajiv Chawla, Iam SME of India, Director NSIC and Chairman Jairaj Group, Dr. J.S. Juneja, Chairman, AIMA MSME Committee, Former MD NSIC and Past President AIMA along with S. Gursaran Singh Sihra, Chancellor GNA University, S. Gurdeep Sihra, Pro- Chancellor GNA University and Dr. Prem Kumar, Advisor GNA University.

 In first Plenary session of Finance, Session Chair was CA Ashwani Gupta Former Director, State Bank Of Patiala, Alumunus of Harvard(USA) and the key note speakers were Ashok Sethi, Chairman Fine Switches and Mr. Sajan Goel, VP & Branch Head, CARE Ratings. The second Plenary Session on Technology Management was chaired by Mr. Manoj Kumar, Director CT Group of Institutes. The other speakers were Dr. H.R. Bhojwani, Emerius Scientist, CSIR and Mr. Anil Sachdeva, TQMI. The final session on Marketing Management was chaired by Mr. Rajiv Chawla, Iam SME of India, Director NSIC and Chairman Jairaj Group and the key-note speakers were Mr. S.J.Khan, IPS and Expert on uses of IT Tools and surveillance and Mr. Sudhir Gera, Vice Chairman, JMA and Director IES Gensets Ltd
